Latino Officers Association Florida:
To promote tolerance towards the understanding of the Latino
culture in the
Law Enforcement community and to create a strong bond between
Latino
community and Police departments. It also aggressively seeks to
increase
the number of Latino Officers in Florida.
As an organization our goal is to ensure equal representation
in hiring and
promotional practices. We also strive to ensure that members work
in an
environment that is in compliance with all equal employment opportunity
rules and regulations; an environment free of discrimination,
hostility,
retaliation, and sexual harassment.
The LOA-FLA represents members, both uniform and civilian, that
are
employed by law enforcement agencies on the city, state, county
and federal
level. The LOA-FLA also represents non-law enforcement personal
employed in both the private and public sectors.
There are no ethnic requirements for membership to the NLOA or
LOA-FLA
chapters. However, members must embrace the organization’s
vision and
be supportive of its goals.
